Hemp Flower

The hemp flower cannabinoid count is 113 but a more important number to discuss is 60. There are 60 cannabinoids which have only been identified in the hemp plant. We hear a lot about CBD in hemp and the many benefits of it. And we also know a lot about the second most talked about Cannabinoid called Delta 9-THC. THC is not the second most common in hemp because it is only allowed at 0.3% content according to the 2018 Farm Bill. The two most common cannabinoids after CBD are Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC) and Cannabinol (CBN).

Simplifying Cannabinoids

Cannabinoids are compounds that occur naturally in the cannabis plant covering both the psychoactive and the non-psychoactive compounds in the cannabis plant

  • Cannabinol is CBN and it is the first cannabinoid that was discovered by scientists. CBN is produced when THC is heated to oxygen.

  • Cannabigerol is CBG and it is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. The cannabis plant has less than 1% of CBG so it is a minor cannabinoid.

  • Cannabidiol is CBD and is also one of the naturally occurring compounds in the cannabis. CBD is a cannabinoid that is not psychoactive but it is the other most commonly found compound in the cannabis plant.

  • Tetrahydrocannabinol is THC and is the psychoactive cannabinoid in the cannabis plant also known as marijuana.

Hemp Flower -- Abbreviating Cannabinoids

Time to dial the conversation to abbreviations so it is easier to focus on what these various cannabinoids are all about because they are about a lot. The hemp flower is a full spectrum because it has all the natural compounds in it. When you purchase other products like CBD-infused gummies and CBD oil, be sure the label states “full spectrum” to get the best from your product.

Hemp Flower -- Everything Else about CBN

CBN is a mildly psychoactive hemp flower cannabinoid, with the emphasize on “mildly”, because it is created when THC oxidizes. CBN is used effectively as a sleep aid and a sedative. CBN may help regulate the immune system for those with immune deficiency disorders. This hemp flower cannabinoid also relieves pain and inflammation caused in bother Crohn's disease and all types of arthritis.

Hemp Flower -- Everything Else about CBG

CBG's is classified as an antibacterial because reports have been made that it kills and/or slows bacterial growth. The second benefit of hemp flower cannabinoid CBG is how it reduces inflammation and inhibits cell growth in malignant tumors. The third benefit of the CBG cannabinoid is to promote bone growth.

Hemp Flower -- Everything Else about THC

THC is the hemp flower cannabinoid responsible for a majority of marijuana's psychological effects. THC attaches to the cannabinoid receptors in the brain and activates them. These are the receptors that affect a person's thinking, pleasure, coordination, and time perception. CBD is the main non-psychoactive cannabinoid in the cannabis plant and, in fact, blocks a degree of the “high” associated with THC.

Everything Else about CBD

CBD is the cannabinoid that is shining brightly for hundreds of people who suffer from chronic pain, insomnia and many types of inflammation. FDA approved a medication with CBD called Epidiolex which is the treatment of two different types of epilepsy. But beyond this, a large percentage of people are realizing relief from pain, insomnia, anxiety as they use CBD in a capsule, drops, lotions and many more delivery methods. If you're looking to explore these benefits, you can buy cannabis in Canada and find a variety of CBD products to suit your needs."
